In Mongolia's Gobi Desert, Climate change contributes to:
Climate change, mining and overgrazing from livestock lead to habitat degradation in Mongolia's Gobi Desert.
The development of linear infrastructures related to mining activities in the Gobi, associated to the lack of wildlife crossing structures, fragments the habitat of the Khulan (which is a migratory species) and other wildlife and limit its access to vital resources (water and pastures).
Illegal hunting and trade are still affecting the Khulan's survival even though there have been some improvements over the past years as a result of law enforcements.
