Khulan Day - soon evolving into a more meaningful celebration

A Meaningful Change is Coming!

Since 2012, Khulan Day/Khulan Protection Day has been celebrated on September 18 - a date chosen by the local communities of the southeast region of the Gobi Desert who live alongside the Khulan and have played a vital role in its protection.

This grassroots initiative has always been driven by the people of the Gobi Desert. This year, we are expanding our vision into a new movement for conservation, with a lasting impact. This movement will welcome all who are passionate about biodiversity, healthy ecosystems, wildlife conservation, and the communities dedicated to protecting them.

Stay tuned - our new name, logo and vision will be revealed in May!
